Retirement Solutions

Two halves of the same journey: building a corpus while you earn, and drawing an income from it once you stop.

Overview

Retirement Solutions

Retirement is the longest goal most people have, and also the one most easily postponed. Small SIPs started early and stepped up with your income can build a meaningful corpus, though returns are never assured.

Closer to and after retirement, the job changes: keeping money accessible, managing volatility and drawing a steady income. Systematic Withdrawal Plans (SWPs) from mutual fund schemes can provide a monthly or quarterly payout from your investments.

Set up an SWP for a steady monthly payout.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is an SWP the same as a pension?

No. An SWP pays out by redeeming units from your investment. The payout continues only while units remain, and the value of those units moves with the market.

When should I start?

The earlier you start, the longer compounding has to work. A smaller SIP started early often does more than a larger one started late.

Can I change the SWP amount later?

Yes. You can change, pause or stop an SWP by submitting a request to the AMC. We handle this for you.

Good to know

  • SWP withdrawals are redemptions and may attract capital-gains tax and exit loads.
  • Withdrawing more than the portfolio earns will reduce the capital over time.
  • Calculator results are illustrations based on assumed rates, not projections.
